Editing Services:

I edit books (memoir, nonfiction, fiction), essays, op-eds, short stories, articles for pitching, grant proposals, web copy, speeches, and probably lots of other writings — just ask!

My services include an initial phone consultation about the work and what you seek from me as an editor, and line, copy, and developmental/content editing.

Base rates:

$40 initial consultation fee

$0.020 per word for proofreading

$0.026 per word for editorial assessment

$0.027 per word for copy editing

$0.036 per word for developmental / content editing.

Prices vary based on expected turnaround, complexity of project, and whether you want additional consultation and feedback.

(If your work aims to have positive political or social impact and you cannot afford these rates, I am open to sliding scale or an exchange of goods or services!)
